The SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) has detained a participant of an international drug syndicate who was hiding in Ukraine. The EU citizen will be held in custody until the issue of extradition is resolved. This is reported by UNN with reference to the SBU.

The foreigner has been on the Interpol wanted list for 6 years. As indicated by the SBU, the detainee is a citizen of a neighboring EU country, but they did not specify which one.
It is known that he was a member of an organized criminal group that was engaged in the smuggling and sale of drugs and psychotropic substances on the territory of the European Union. To avoid criminal liability, he came to Ukraine.
The foreigner was put on the international wanted list. As reported, he was detained in the Lviv region.
Currently, the drug dealer is in custody pending the resolution of the extradition issue.
