The Central Election Commission appealed to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine with a request to impose sanctions against those involved in the "elections" to the State Duma of the Russian Federation in the occupied territories. This is stated in a CEC statement, reports UNN.
The CEC also appealed to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine regarding the coordination of interagency response measures, consideration of issues concerning the application of sanctions and other measures of influence against officials and employees of the Russian Federation, and citizens of other states who supported and/or participated in organizing and conducting the "elections," including observing the "elections," in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine

The Central Election Commission declared illegitimate the organization of preparations for and the conduct of "elections" to the State Duma of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, and also called on Ukrainian citizens—voters residing in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine—to refrain from participating in any activities aimed at organizing preparations for and conducting the illegal "elections" of deputies to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns members of the mission of the Commonwealth of Independent States against visiting territories temporarily occupied during monitoring of the upcoming elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
