The case of a judge who struck an 11-year-old boy at a crosswalk in Kryvyi Rih has been referred to court

A judge from Kryvyi Rih driving a BMW ran a red light and struck an 11-year-old boy. The case regarding the collision with the child, which resulted in severe consequences, has been referred to court.

The case of a judge from one of the district courts in Kryvyi Rih, who, according to the investigation, struck an 11-year-old boy at a pedestrian crossing and caused him severe bodily injuries, has been referred to court following the completion of the pre-trial investigation. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to UNN.

The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office has completed the investigation and sent the indictment regarding the judge of one of the district courts of Kryvyi Rih to court

According to the investigation, on February 9, 2024, at around 4:30 PM, while driving a BMW, she ran a red light and struck an 11-year-old boy. The child was crossing the road with his mother at a regulated pedestrian crossing.

As a result of the collision, the boy sustained severe bodily injuries. He was hospitalized in intensive care and remains in serious condition.

The indictment has been sent to court  under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - violation of road safety rules that caused severe bodily injury to the victim.
