The use of F-16 fighters will be dispersed on different types of runways and airfields to make it difficult for the enemy to detect them. Ilya Yevlash, spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told how the F-16 will be defended during the telethon, UNN reports .
"Once we get the fighters, we will be able to conduct a lot of different operations in terms of repelling air attacks and conducting air strikes against the enemy. To do this, we need to properly prepare the place of their basing and location. Since it requires enormous funds, if we are talking about digging various underground bunkers where they can be stored, it also takes time. Therefore, other various methods and options are now being developed on how exactly they can be arranged and where they can be placed. We understand that this will be a dispersed use on different types of runways and airfields, where it will be difficult for the enemy to detect them. For this purpose, a different set of methods will be used, in particular, to mislead the enemy and at the same time to use them effectively," Yevlash said.
As Mr. Yevlash pointed out, there are already a number of developments on how to safely deploy F-16s in Ukraine.
