The Parliament has instructed the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense to immediately consider a draft law that proposes to amend the Law of Ukraine "On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization" (No. 11379). The document proposes to grant a deferral from military service during the mobilization of persons liable for military service up to the age of 25. Regarding my draft law 11379 (abolition of mobilization limited to those under 25). The Verkhovna Rada has just given a protocol instruction to the committee to consider this draft law IMMEDIATELY! Thanks to Serhiy Vlasenko for raising this issue
Currently , men under the age of 25 who have not performed military service or military training, but were once recognized as partially fit, can be mobilized.
The document proposes to amend Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization" in order to eliminate conflicts and clarify the norms on mobilization of citizens under the age of 25 only with their consent, as well as to reduce the risks or prevent corruption on the part of representatives of the TCC and JV.
