In the Kyiv region, police are investigating the circumstances of a fatal traffic accident in the Boryspil district. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kyiv region.
Details
The accident occurred around 2:30 PM on May 29 in Pereyaslav. According to preliminary information, a 15-year-old driver of a BMW vehicle collided with a Skoda car driven by a 17-year-old boy at an intersection of one of the streets.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Skoda sustained severe physical injuries and died in the hospital.
Investigators have launched an investigation into the fatal accident (Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of 3 to 8 years.
In addition, police will conduct an investigation into the release into operation of technically defective vehicles or other violations of their operation (Article 287 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), as well as the malicious failure to fulfill child care duties (Article 166 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
