Albares responded to comments from some political parties about the government's allegedly bellicose rhetoric and explained that "Spaniards know very well what is happening in Europe right now: there is a war of aggression by a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
That is why, according to him, Spain is helping Ukraine, "because we cannot allow war to return to Europe as a way to resolve conflicts between states.
He also emphasized that Ukraine is not asking for foreign troops, and no country is currently considering this possibility.
