Gareth Southgate has resigned as head coach of the England national team after the defeat in the Euro 2024 final by Spain. His statement was published on Tuesday by the National Football Association of England, UNN reports.

"The head coach of Three Lions will leave his post after 102 games," the statement reads.
"As a proud Englishman, it was the honor of a lifetime to play for England and manage the England team. It meant everything to me and I gave it my all. But it's time for change and a new chapter. Sunday's final in Berlin against Spain will be my last game as England coach," Southgate said in a statement.
