The SBU has hit a long-range radar in the Bryansk region of Russia that monitored the sky 700 km deep into Ukraine, a source in the special service told UNN.
Details
According to the agency's source, this time the Russians have one less modernized Nebo-U system, which helped the enemy detect Ukrainian weapons and supported bombers attacking the Ukrainian border with anti-aircraft missiles.
According to the source, the $100 million radar was hit by seven airplane-type kamikaze drones. Security Service sources confirmed that the Nebo-U complex is no longer operational and "probably turned into a colander.
Thanks to the damage to this radar, the enemy has fewer opportunities to detect air targets along Ukraine's northern border. The radar blindness of the Russians will help our troops conduct reconnaissance, launch drones and use army aviation in this area more efficiently, the source said.
As the source pointed out, this is the second Nebo-U complex to be destroyed. The first was in the Belgorod region of Russia. Also recently, the Kasta-2E2 radar complex was destroyed near the temporarily occupied Ukrainian city of Berdiansk.
