The Russian command has introduced new rules for transporting military cargo on the R-280 "Novorossiya" highway following significant losses from Ukrainian drone strikes. This was reported by the ATESH partisan movement, citing its agent in one of the units of the Russian "Dnipro" grouping of forces, UNN reports.

According to the movement, the new orders stipulate that convoys must move primarily at night or during unfavorable weather conditions, maintain a speed of at least 120 km/h, and include a third serviceman with a UAV detector in every vehicle. Furthermore, the occupiers have begun to more actively use civilian trucks to disguise military transport.
New measures weaken frontline protection
ATESH notes that observers with drone detectors for escorting convoys are being recruited directly from frontline positions. Scarce electronic warfare (EW) systems are also being redeployed there, which weakens the protection of units on the front line against Ukrainian drones.
According to the movement's agent, the Russian military themselves criticize such decisions, as most Ukrainian drones use Starlink satellite communications, which are resistant to the mobile EW systems available to the Russian Federation. ATESH claims that all collected information has already been handed over to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
