On the night of July 19, Russian troops launched a massive ballistic attack on Kyiv, firing over 20 missiles. Numerous explosions were heard in the capital, with fires and preliminary impacts recorded. Starting at approximately 01:20, the Air Force repeatedly warned about launches of ballistic missiles from the territory of the Bryansk and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation. The missiles moved through the Sumy and Chernihiv regions towards Kyiv.
During the attack, the military reported new launches and several groups of ballistic missiles heading towards the capital. In total, according to the Air Force, over 20 ballistic missiles were launched towards Kyiv.
According to monitoring channels, numerous explosions were heard in Kyiv.
The capital's mayor, Vitali Klitschko, reported that, according to preliminary information, smoke is rising near one of the shopping centers in the Desnianskyi district. Also, at another address, cars are burning, and in another location, a hit on a non-residential building was recorded.
The air raid alert continues, and information about the consequences of the Russian attack is being clarified.
