Rumen Radev's pro-Russian party wins Bulgarian elections - exit poll

In the parliamentary elections, "Progressive Bulgaria" received over 38% of the votes. The GERB party came in second, and Radev's political force may get 110 seats in parliament.

On Sunday, April 19, early parliamentary elections concluded in Bulgaria. According to exit poll results, the party of pro-Russian ex-president Rumen Radev, "Progressive Bulgaria," is gaining over 38% of the votes. This is reported by UNN with reference to the Bulgarian public broadcaster B.TV.

In second place is the GERB party with over 15%. In addition, the following parties may enter the Bulgarian parliament - the National Assembly: the coalition of parties "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria," which is gaining 13.6% of the votes; "DPS - New Beginning" with 7.5% of the votes, and "Vazrazhdane" with 5% of the votes.

In addition, the coalition of left-wing parties "Bulgarian Socialist Party - United Left" may enter the parliament, which, according to exit polls, passes the 4% threshold for obtaining seats in the country's parliament.

As Bulgarian media noted, if the voting results coincide with the exit polls, "Progressive Bulgaria" will receive 110 out of 240 seats in parliament.

Rumen Radev himself is a Euroskeptic, opposes aid to Ukraine, and believes that occupied Crimea "belongs to Russia."
