Russian shelling is aimed at destabilizing Zaporizhia and causing maximum harm to civilians. Evacuation drills have recently begun in the city. Residents who can leave are recommended to temporarily leave the city and wait out the intensified phase of the Russian offensive. This was stated on the air of one of the TV channels by the head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, Petro Andryushchenko, writes UNN.
the Russians are trying to move in such a way as to harass our Zaporizhia, our civilians, to actually organize terror there comparable to what they organized in the Kherson region
He also noted that evacuation drills have begun in Zaporizhia in certain areas of the city. He added that this is due to the fact that last week the city was subjected to numerous strikes - in particular, by drones, aerial bombs, missiles and ballistic missiles, which directly indicated the need for residents to prepare for emergencies.
But I would look in the direction where those who can leave, at least for a certain time, until the Russian offensive ends this fall, its active phase. I would still wait, because the main task of the Russians is not to move closer to Zaporizhia... from the point of view of the potential occupation of Zaporizhia, the seizure of larger territories or something like that. Their goal there is very simple and it is before them - it is to destabilize the maximum situation through terror of the civilian population of Zaporizhia
Let us remind you
As a result of 727 strikes by the occupiers on 14 settlements of the Zaporizhia region, eight people were injured. Two missiles hit Zaporizhia, and seven air strikes and 526 UAV strikes were also recorded.
