The Verkhovna Rada has adopted draft law No. 9445, which removes the Soviet rudiment of the "meeting room" from the judicial process, the head of the Committee on Legal Policy, MP Denys Maslov, said on Thursday, UNN reports.

"The Verkhovna Rada has adopted draft law 9445 in the second reading. We are removing the Soviet rudiment of the "meeting room" in the Civil Procedure Code, the Commercial Procedure Code and the Administrative Court of Ukraine, replacing it with the stage of court decision-making," Maslov wrote on Telegram.
As previously reported in the Parliament, the draft law provides for the removal of the "deliberation room" from the procedural legislation. According to the draft law, after the court debate, the court immediately announces the transition to the decision-making stage and the approximate time of its announcement. In exceptional cases, the court may postpone the announcement of the decision, but for no more than ten days.
This law on improving the adoption and pronouncement of court decisions is expected to simplify and speed up the judicial process. And it is designed to harmonize national legislation with that of the EU.
"This is a long-awaited draft law that was developed with the participation of representatives of the judicial community," Maslov said.
