Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, declared his readiness to support Tehran and praised the Iranian people for their "resistance" to the US and Israel. This was reported by Reuters, according to UNN.

The meeting took place in Saint Petersburg against the backdrop of the escalating situation in the Middle East following strikes by the US and Israel, which Moscow had previously condemned.
Putin emphasized support for Iran and expressed his appreciation for the actions of its population.

He also assured of Russia's readiness to facilitate a settlement of the situation.

Russia's Role
Moscow had previously offered to act as a mediator between Iran and the US, and also initiated the idea of storing Iranian enriched uranium as a way to reduce tensions; however, Washington rejected this proposal.
According to sources, work to find a compromise between the US and Iran continues, despite the complications in the negotiation process.
