Latvian Prime Minister Ewika Silina supports the deployment of NATO troops to Ukraine to train the Ukrainian Armed Forces, provided that a consensus is reached among alliance partners.

Latvian Prime Minister Eвіка Silinia said she supports the idea of sending NATO troops to Ukraine to train the Ukrainian military, after French President Emmanuel Macron made it clear that he is not against such a step. She said this in an interview with Bloomberg, reports UNN

According to the prime minister, she would like to see NATO reach a point where "we will conduct training there," although she emphasized that the presence of North Atlantic Treaty Organization troops inside the country would require consensus among the alliance's partners.
