Members of the Polish Border Protection Movement were detained in central Berlin while attempting to hold a protest near a monument. This was reported by Wiadomości, according to UNN.

According to the publication, a group of representatives of the movement, led by Robert Bąkiewicz, arrived in the German capital on Tuesday. According to him, the participants were allowed to march to the monument, but without a cross or symbols with inscriptions related to World War II.

Incident during the protest
According to representatives of the movement, when the group tried to reach the monument, they were surrounded by German police officers.
"This is a scandal,"
One of the police officers informed the participants in Polish that the German authorities should have been notified of the event at least a week in advance.
According to the movement, law enforcement officers seized the cross, forced some participants to the ground, and used handcuffs. During the arrests, shouts of "Gestapo, Gestapo!" were heard directed at the police.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland reacted to the incident.
