Vasyl Honcharuk, the organizer of the event where on July 24 a Russian rocket killed 11 people, stated cooperation with the investigation. The prosecutor's office demands his detention without bail.

In court, the organizer of the event during which a Russian missile struck a weapons exhibition in the Kyiv region on July 24, Vasyl Honcharuk, stated that he had handed over all necessary materials to the investigators and is ready to continue cooperating with the investigation. Meanwhile, the prosecutor's office is asking for a preventive measure in the form of detention without the possibility of bail, as reported by a UNN journalist from the courtroom.

During the court hearing, the suspect Vasyl Honcharuk expressed condolences to the victims and families of the deceased and stated that he is ready to do everything possible to help establish all the circumstances of the tragedy.

"I ask the court and the investigation to conduct all necessary investigative actions to clarify the circumstances of the tragedy that occurred on July 24, 2026, during the missile attack. I deeply sympathize with the victims and their relatives and am ready to fully and maximally help them. I asked both acquaintances and the relevant services about this immediately after the tragedy that occurred. In turn, I also received several shrapnel wounds to my leg and back, and upon arriving at the hospital, I immediately reported my whereabouts to the competent authorities even before the operation," the suspect stated.

Also, according to Vasyl Honcharuk, after the operation, he personally provided the necessary information, access to phones, and registers of invited event participants to the relevant service.

"I am ready to continue cooperating with the investigation to clarify the circumstances of this terrible tragedy. I only ask for the opportunity to recover to an appropriate physical and psychological state for active work with the investigation. I handed over my personal mobile phones with access passwords, and the investigators received all work laptops and system units with all the necessary information that will be useful to the investigation," Vasyl Honcharuk emphasized.

The suspect also asked the court to allow him to remain under house arrest.

"Having the opportunity to stay under house arrest conditions, I undertake not to leave my place of residence without the permission of the investigators and to be at the time and place required for active assistance to the investigation, for which I am one hundred percent ready," the defendant stated.

He was served a suspicion of official negligence that led to the deaths of people and other grave consequences. The investigation believes that the event was organized without mandatory approvals from the military command and state authorities.
