Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Khyzhnyak has reached the semifinals of the 2024 Olympic Games in the 80 kg weight category, thus guaranteeing himself at least a bronze medal.
In the quarterfinals, Khyzhnyak defeated Brazilian Wanderson Pereira, receiving a unanimous 5-0 decision from the judges.
This result means that Oleksandr Khyzhnyak has secured an Olympic medal. Even if he loses in the semifinals, the Ukrainian boxer will receive a bronze medal, which will be the third medal for Ukraine at these Olympic Games.
