The Luzhanka checkpoint on the border with Hungary will soon be operational. Construction of a new Bila Tserkva checkpoint on the border with Romania will also begin next year. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba, according to the Ministry of Development, UNN reports.

Thus, according to Kuleba, they plan to launch the Luzhanka checkpoint for empty trucks in the near future. This will relieve the only cargo crossing point with Hungary, Chop-Záhony. This year, it is also planned to open a checkpoint for passenger transport - Velyka Palad.
It will operate on temporary infrastructure. We are currently working on this issue with Hungary. Next year, we will start construction of a new large checkpoint called Bila Tserkva. To launch this checkpoint, the Romanian side is already completing the construction of a bridge across the Tisa River,
He also added that the next stage of work in Zakarpattia -is the reconstruction of the Uzhhorod checkpoint terminals to separate freight and passenger transport, which will increase the capacity for trucks by 30%.
