The storms caused by the tornado last night in the USA were so powerful that they knocked down dozens of buildings and structures. One man in heavily damaged Selmer, Tennessee, was literally swept into his neighbor's yard by a wave. The state also confirmed the deaths of three people from the tornado. Matt Vandevander from Selmer, Tennessee, jumped into the bathtub to try to survive the storm, but it was too late.

Despite the lucky incident with Matt Vandevander, a state of emergency is still declared in Tennessee. The governor of the state appealed to the federal authorities to help remove debris and apply emergency protective measures. The state also confirmed the deaths of three people: in Obion County, Fayette County, and McNairy County.
The geography of the tragic cases indicates a wide range of severe storms in West Tennessee overnight, the publication notes. Four more people were injured in Fayette County, two of them in critical condition.
