More than a third of the 235 battles on the front over the past day occurred in the Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, and Lyman directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its morning update on July 20, showing a map of hostilities, writes UNN.
In total, 235 combat engagements were recorded over the past day
Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile strike, using 39 missiles, carried out 76 airstrikes, dropping 222 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it used 10,761 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,116 shellings of populated areas and positions of our troops, including 33 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past day, aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck nine areas of concentration of personnel, five UAV control points, one artillery piece, two logistics warehouses, and one other important enemy target.
Situation by directions
In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions over the past day, the aggressor carried out three airstrikes, dropping eight aerial bombs, conducted 56 shellings of our troops' positions and populated areas, including one using a multiple launch rocket system.
In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our units 14 times toward Hoptivka and in the areas of Lyman, Starytsia, and Prylipky.
In the Kupiansk direction over the past day, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attempted to penetrate our defenses 26 times, attacking in the areas of Novomykhailivka, Drobysheve, Novoselivka, Hrekivka, and toward Shyikivka, Stavky, Lyman, and Ozerne.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy stormed 27 times in the areas of the settlements of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Riznykivka, and toward Pyskunivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian invaders carried out two attacks in the area of Nykyforivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy conducted 24 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, Stepanivka, and toward Pavlivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 30 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Toretske, Shakhove, Udachne, Filia, Hryshyne, and toward the settlements of Kucheriv Yar, Novyi Donbas, Myrne, Bilytske, Svitle, Novopavlivka, Shevchenko, Novopidhorodne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, no offensive actions by the enemy were recorded.
In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers carried out 21 attacks in the area of Zaliznychne and toward Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, Vozdvyzhivka, Hirke.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders stopped one attempt by the enemy to advance in the area of Shcherbaky.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction over the past day, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
