All funds from registrations for the MHP Run4Victory race in Cherkasy will go to the needs of the 118th separate brigade of the territorial defense named after Otaman Lyuty-Lyutenko. Despite the fact that the event did not take place due to the national mourning for those killed in Kryvyi Rih and shelling, its main goal - supporting the defenders - remains unchanged.
718 602 UAH, collected from registration fees for the Cherkasy MHP Run4Victory (1414 participants), will be used to purchase drones for soldiers of the 118th TRO brigade, who participated in battles in Popasna, Bakhmut, Vuhledar, Kurakhovo, and are now performing combat missions in the Zaporizhia direction, Kursk region and the Northern border of Ukraine.

"Support from civilians and charitable initiatives, such as the MHP Run4Victory race, is incredibly important for our brigade. It not only strengthens us materially and technically, but also adds moral strength. Such an initiative definitely unites society and demonstrates support for our defenders. Every such event inspires us to do everything possible for victory. All funds raised will be used to purchase modern and reliable drones for the needs of our brigade, which will help us avoid direct contact with the enemy and receive operational information from the battlefield about the enemy's actions."
On April 6, Cherkasy was supposed to host the first charity race from the MHP Run4Victory 2025 series - an initiative of MHP and the "MHP - Community" CF, which is implemented jointly with the sports partner NewRun. The main goal of the project is to support the military and honor the memory of fallen defenders in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
However, due to the tragic events in Kryvyi Rih, the declaration of national mourning and shelling of Ukrainian cities, a responsible decision was made to cancel the event.
Oleksandr Pakholiuk, Director of the "MHP - Community" CF:
"We planned to hold a charity race to unite people around helping the military. But in view of the national mourning for those killed in Kryvyi Rih and the morning enemy shelling, we made a difficult but correct decision - to cancel the mass event. Instead, we did not cancel the main thing - support for our defenders. We are transferring all funds to the 118th brigade, which is currently on the front line. We sincerely thank each participant. Together we are strong."
Oleksandr Voskoboinik, Head of the Central Hub of MHP:
"This race was supposed to be not just a sporting event for us - it was our voice of support for those who continue to fight for Ukraine, and a tribute to the memory of those who gave their lives for it. Unfortunately, we were forced to cancel the event, although this decision was difficult. However, our desire to remain united, strong and caring remains unchanged. And we will run more than one charity race, and we will unite in the Victory marathon! We remember everyone who is defending, who is in captivity, and who gave their lives for our freedom. Despite the cancellation of the race, our unity and support for each other remain as strong. Ukrainian business, communities and people are as united as ever in their faith and action."
The organizers decided to preserve the emotional component of the race - all registered participants of the race can receive medals by mail. To do this, you need to write a letter to info@newrun.com.ua.
Oksana Suchenko, Director of NewRun, organizer of the race: "MHP Run4Victory in Cherkasy is an event that did not take place physically, but became a resounding symbol of unity. We are sincerely grateful to each participant for their understanding. Your contributions are already working for victory today. And even without a starting signal, we have done an important thing together."
In 2025, the MHP Run4Victory series of races will also be held in Kyiv, Ternopil, Vinnytsia and Lutsk. The next charity race will take place on May 18 in Kyiv. Registration is already open. The event will unite participants in support of the 13th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Khartia".
