Moldovan Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatîi interrupted a NewsMaker journalist who began asking a question in Russian during a press conference on August 12. NewsMaker reports on the incident, UNN writes.

Journalist Alexandra Mereuță began addressing the minister in Russian with the words: "Mr. Nosatîi, tell us..." However, Nosatîi did not let her finish the question and said in Romanian: "I don't understand you."
After that, the journalist rephrased her question in Romanian. The minister also answered her in Romanian and congratulated her on her command of the state language.

At the same time, the minister's résumé published on the website of the Moldovan government states that he speaks Romanian, Russian, and English. The document also indicates that in the 1990s, Nosatîi underwent four years of military training in Ukraine—in Kyiv and Odesa.
