Moldovan President Maia Sandu signed a decree dismissing Viktor Parlikov from the post of Energy Minister. the document was published on December 5 on the official website of the president.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine has announced that he will take over his duties until a new minister is appointed.
Doreen Rechan also pointed out the possibility of partial or complete termination of energy supplies.

Earlier, the Moldovan Prime Minister demanded the resignation of Parlikov, the head of Energocom Viktor Bondar and a member of the Supervisory Board of Moldovagaz Sergey Tofilat. Rechan believes that they are to blame for the fact that gas at cheaper prices was not purchased on time, and Parlykov did not manage the industry well.
context
On December 3, the Moldovan parliament held a public hearing on the situation in the energy sector. They decided to hold them in connection with the increase in the gas tariff by 27.5% - from 13.13 lei to 16.74 Lei (including VAT). The tariff was raised amid rising gas prices on world markets and a scandal related to the fact that Moldova bought enough gas for the winter in the summer, when prices were low.
