The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has contracted 1,500 motorcycles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This type of transport is one of the most in-demand assets at the front, alongside pickup trucks. This was reported by Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov, according to UNN.

According to the head of the department, thanks to a transparent tender procedure, millions were saved for additional supplies for the Ukrainian military.
The DOT Defense Procurement Agency has concluded contracts for the supply of 1,500 motorcycles for the AFU. This is three times more than in the entire previous year. The entire batch of vehicles will reach the military this year. Six companies participated in the motorcycle procurement. Thanks to the competitive procedure, nearly 12 million UAH in budget funds were saved, which will be directed toward additional supplies for the military, including the purchase of other necessary transport,
The Minister added that using the same principle, the Ministry of Defense conducted the largest procurement of long-range 155mm artillery rounds.
Competition between participants allowed for better terms for the state and further strengthened the military's supplies. The goal is to gradually transition to tender procedures in all defense procurement,
The Minister of Defense added that the department continues to scale the modern defense procurement system.
