In Dnipro, a man suspected of the brutal murder of an 11-year-old boy has been detained. The child had been sought for over a day. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to UNN.

During the course of investigative and operational measures, a 40-year-old man was identified and detained. According to him, on May 27, at around 12:30 PM, he raped the minor and then strangled him.
The child had been considered missing since the evening of May 26. Preliminarily, the detainee was an acquaintance of the victim.
Under the procedural guidance of the Livoberezhna District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Dnipro, a notice of suspicion is being prepared regarding the intentional murder of a young child (Clause 2, Part 2, Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Currently, the leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, the Livoberezhna District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Dnipro, juvenile prosecutors, and law enforcement officers are working at the scene to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
