Law enforcement officers in Dnipro have detained a suspect in the brutal murder of a woman that occurred in early November 2025. At that time, under the pretext of settling a dispute, he lured the woman to a garage cooperative, where he strangled her with ropes during an argument. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

According to the investigation, the deceased woman was 32 years old. Her body was later found on the territory of a garage cooperative in the city of Dnipro.
The search for the deceased woman involved not only police officers but also specialists from the "Antares" search squad with service dogs. It later became known that a 30-year-old man - a former acquaintance of the deceased woman - was involved in the crime.
After committing the serious crime, the man attempted to hide the evidence: he transported the body and dumped it into a collector, and thoroughly cleaned the scene of the incident. He then fled. For almost half a year, the suspect remained in hiding, changing locations and avoiding any contact with law enforcement,
The man was detained on April 30 of this year with the support of police special forces. The detainee was notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - intentional homicide. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 7 to 15 years.
The court ordered a preventive measure - detention without the right to post bail.
