Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhii Koretskyi met with Prime Minister of Latvia Andris Kulbergs and his government team in Kyiv on August 24, during which the parties discussed strengthening support for Ukraine and countering Russian aggression. Koretskyi reported this on social media, UNN writes.

Koretskyi thanked Latvia for its consistent support for Ukraine, participation in the shelters coalition, energy assistance, and support for reconstruction projects in Chernihiv region. He stressed that the shelters initiative is important for protecting Ukrainians from Russian missile and drone attacks.
The parties separately discussed the restoration of railway infrastructure, which is regularly subjected to Russian strikes, as well as the possibility of insuring war risks.

Koretskyi also informed Kulbergs about Russian terror in the Black Sea aimed at preventing the export of Ukrainian grain. According to him, Ukraine and Latvia agreed on joint steps to counter these attacks.
European integration and sanctions
During the meeting, the prime ministers separately discussed accelerating the negotiation process for Ukraine's accession to the European Union and increasing sanctions pressure on Russia.
They also agreed to focus on implementing the drone agreement
