"Kyiv Metro is ready to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to investigate the case of flooding of the tunnels between Demiivska and Lybidska stations in the Kyiv metro. At the same time, the subway management will prove the groundlessness of the accusation in court. This is stated in a statement by KCSA in response to the receipt of suspicions by subway officials due to the flooding of the tunnel, UNN reports .
Despite the fact that expert reports and research by scientists confirm that the project documentation contains poor design decisions and that the tunnel structure of this section was poorly constructed during construction, the main accusations are that the tunnel was allegedly improperly maintained and serviced, as well as operated

According to the KCSA, the results of the studies, which are currently being finalized, have confirmed that no chemical soil consolidation was performed during the construction of the tunnel structure. Deviations from the design decisions in the construction of the tunnel were also found, in particular, the dimensions of the tunnel lining tubes and some of the tray blocks do not correspond to the design.
At the same time, KCSA emphasized that they confirm that all necessary routine maintenance and operation of the transfer tunnel was carried out in full.
Given the obvious political pressure, Kyiv Metro insists on an impartial investigation and is ready to cooperate with law enforcement agencies. At the same time, the management of the Kyiv Metro will prove the groundlessness of the accusation in court
It was also reminded that Kyiv Metro is a critical infrastructure enterprise that provides passenger transportation and round-the-clock shelter for the population. "Without exaggeration, this is one of the largest shelters in the capital, the destabilization of which can lead to negative consequences," the KCSA believes.
