In Turkey, a student opened fire at a school in Kahramanmaraş province, killing nine people and injuring 13 others. This is the second such incident in the country in the last two days. This was reported by Reuters, writes UNN.

According to authorities, among the dead are eight students and one teacher. Six of the injured are in critical condition.
"This was an exclusively personal attack committed by one of our students, it is not a terrorist act."
Regional governor Mükerrem Ünlüer said the shooter committed suicide during the incident.

According to officials, an eighth-grade student brought several weapons and ammunition to school.
"An eighth-grade student came with 5 weapons and 7 magazines… entered two classrooms with fifth-grade students, resulting in indiscriminate deaths and injuries."
Government reaction
The government announced its intention to strengthen security measures after the incident.
"We will take the necessary precautions."
