In Kyiv, 5 people are already known to have died as a result of the Russian attack; in Kherson, the enemy twice attacked a UN mission vehicle with drones. There will be a just response for all these strikes, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on social media, UNN writes.
As of now, five people are already known to have died in Kyiv due to the overnight Russian attack. My condolences to the families and loved ones. About 40 people were injured in the capital. Another seven people were injured in the Kyiv region. In Kharkiv, there are already 28 casualties. Two people were injured in the Odesa region. In total, 180 objects were damaged across the country, and of those, more than 50 were ordinary residential buildings,
Currently, according to him, a search and rescue operation is still ongoing in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv. They are looking for people under the rubble of a building. "More than 10 people are considered missing. All necessary services are also working in the Obolonskyi district. Restoration after Russian strikes is also underway in the Poltava region. In total, more than 750 employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and almost 750 police officers have already been involved in eliminating the consequences of the shelling across the country. I am grateful to everyone who helps the rescuers and the police," Zelenskyy indicated.
"Today, during a humanitarian mission in Kherson, the Russians twice attacked a vehicle of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs with FPV drones, and the Russians could not have failed to know which vehicle they were attacking. The vehicle contained the head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and eight other employees of the organization. Fortunately, no one was injured. The mission representatives were evacuated," the President noted.
Nevertheless, a significant number of missiles and drones were successfully shot down during these attacks. The total shoot-down percentage is over 93%. Of course, it needs to be higher. And, of course, it is most difficult to defend against ballistics. I thank everyone who helps us with this. There will be a just response for all these strikes. And it is necessary to pressure Moscow so that they feel the consequences of their terror there. It is important that there are global sanctions against Russia. Russia's responsibility for the war and our sanctions pressure must work one hundred percent. And it is also very important that the world does not remain silent about this terror and stands with Ukraine,"
