In Kharkiv, a convict serving a sentence in a correctional colony who systematically violated the regime was given an additional prison term. The court took into account 28 disciplinary sanctions and concluded that there was malicious disobedience to the requirements of the institution's administration. It was established that the convict systematically violated the internal order of the institution, resulting in 28 disciplinary sanctions being imposed on him. However, even after being transferred to a solitary cell, he did not change his behavior and continued to disregard the rules.
In particular, in February 2024, the prisoner repeatedly refused to comply with the requirements of a representative of the colony administration and responded to remarks with profanity.
During the court hearing, the defendant pleaded guilty in full and sincerely repented. He explained his actions by a bad mood and emotional state.
Following the public prosecution by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the man was found guilty of malicious disobedience to the lawful requirements of the administration of a penal institution (Art. 391 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The punishment is 1 year of imprisonment.
Taking into account the previous sentence, he was ultimately sentenced to 7 years and 5 months of imprisonment.
