In April, a positive dynamic in staffing with medical specialists was observed: compared to March, the figure increased by 7%. Furthermore, a decrease in the number of severe injuries has been recorded, and a positive trend regarding the reduction in the number of amputations is observed. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, according to UNN.

Syrskyi noted that he maintains personal control over the issue of increasing the efficiency of medical support for the troops, primarily in terms of supporting units performing tasks in combat zones.
According to him, one of the key issues remains the insufficient staffing of medical units with junior medical personnel, primarily combat medics. They bear the main burden of providing tactical pre-medical aid to the wounded directly on the front line and under conditions of complicated evacuation.
At the same time, a certain positive dynamic in staffing with medical specialists was observed in April: compared to March, the figure increased by 7%. During April, 328 servicemen were trained in medical specialties, which allowed for the gradual strengthening of unit capabilities at the tactical level,
The Commander-in-Chief noted that a decrease in the number of severe injuries was recorded in April. A positive trend regarding the reduction in the number of amputations is also observed. This indicates a gradual improvement in the quality of care at pre-hospital stages, an increase in the level of personnel training, and better awareness among servicemen regarding the timely conversion of tourniquets.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 50 units of medical equipment have been delivered to the troops. At the same time, the issue of providing units with armored, all-wheel drive, and high-mobility evacuation platforms remains critically relevant.
In addition, according to the Commander-in-Chief, the enemy systematically violates the norms of international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions, and the laws and customs of war by purposefully targeting medical transport and medical evacuation vehicles. In the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces alone, five medical evacuation vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the year.
Under conditions of constant threats from FPV drones, aerial weapons, and high battlefield transparency, providing units with ground robotic systems for frontline evacuation, particularly platforms equipped with armored capsules for transporting the wounded, is of particular importance. Work in this direction is ongoing. In parallel, testing of heavy unmanned aerial systems for the evacuation of the wounded by air in difficult tactical conditions continues,
