As Sky News reports, the interview with the president took place at the Mariinskyi Palace on the eve of his foreign trip to allied countries. The article notes that after the deterioration of relations between the Minister of Defense and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zelenskyy decided to dismiss both of them.

"Faced with deteriorating relations between the Minister of Defense and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, he took the unusual step of dismissing both of them. He believes this is for the good of the nation. The war is 'not about one person,' the publication writes."

The president stated that he respects both Mykhailo Fedorov and Oleksandr Syrskyi. At the same time, he emphasized that the operations to carry out deep strikes on the territory of Russia are the result of joint work.

Also during the interview, a journalist asked Volodymyr Zelenskyy whether he is ready to reappoint Mykhailo Fedorov to the position, as demanded by protest participants. According to the publication, the President of Ukraine did not directly answer this question but explained that he cannot allow internal disputes to affect military strategy.

"It appears that it came to the point where the President himself acted as a mediator between the two men and their agencies," the publication writes.

"I don't have time for negotiations," the President replied.

And he added: "Listen, I don't have time to first listen to one side and then the other, because the two sides are not ready to meet every day." "And I don't need to figure out who is right and who is wrong," Zelenskyy stated.

Reminder

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that learning about the conflict with former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov came as a surprise to him. He described their relationship as professional and called for not politicizing the war.
