EU High Representative Josep Borrell is in favor of allowing Ukraine to use Western weapons to strike at Russian territory. He plans to discuss this issue with EU member states at a meeting in Brussels.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell wants to call on EU member states to allow Ukraine to use weapons to carry out strikes inside Russia, tagesschau reports, UNN writes.

"Again and again I have said that Ukraine should be able to use the weapons we supply not only to stop arrows, but also to hit archers," Borrell said before a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels.

"I continue to believe that this should be done. I am sure we will discuss it again. I hope the member states will agree with this," Borrell emphasized.
