The new Hungarian government has reinstated the ban on food imports from Ukraine after an accidental cancellation. This is reported by UNN with reference to euractiv.com.

According to media reports citing a Hungarian government spokesperson, the sanctions were lifted "due to a legislative error." Consequently, Prime Minister Péter Magyar's cabinet took "urgent measures" to restore the ban as quickly as possible, the publication states.
The ban applies to about 20 categories of goods, including beef, pork, poultry, eggs, sunflower seeds, corn, wheat, barley, flour, and rapeseed oil. Honey is also likely to be included.
Karin Karlsbro, a Member of the European Parliament dealing with trade relations between the EU and Ukraine, told Euractiv that she "deeply regrets" that Hungary has decided to maintain the "illegal import ban."
The European Parliament has long been calling on the European Commission to take a tougher stance on member states that violate EU rules
Context
Decree 130/2023, which had prohibited the import of more than 20 categories of Ukrainian agricultural products into Hungary since 2023, expired on May 14 of this year.
