August may be marked by the longest-lasting hot weather, and the nearest heatwave is expected not to last long, but will be hotter than in Germany or neighboring Poland, reported Vitaliy Postryhan, director of the Cherkasy Regional Center for Hydrometeorology, on social media, writes UNN.

According to him, on July 24-26, the western anticyclone will prolong mostly sunny and dry weather, despite the atmosphere having "turned on" a northern process. "High-altitude air currents will transport cool air to our region. Therefore, temperatures are expected: at night 12-17°, during the day the high summer sun will warm the air to a comfortable 23-28°. Only during the day, against the background of reduced atmospheric pressure and the development of cumulonimbus clouds, short-term thunderstorm rains are possible in places," he noted.
"On July 27, Ukraine will find itself among the warmest regions of Europe: the forecast map shows that it will be hotter here than in Germany or neighboring Poland, where only 19-24° is forecast," noted Postryhan.
He forecasts temperatures locally up to 33° during the day. "However, our heat will be short-lived," the forecaster indicated. "On Tuesday, July 28, a cyclone from the southwest will bring down the high temperatures and cause short-term thunderstorm rains."
"According to preliminary forecast estimates, until the end of July, unstable weather with local short-term rains and without hot temperatures will persist. Summer is confidently moving forward: the harvest is in full swing, and August is already visible on the horizon, and it is this month that may be marked by the longest-lasting hot weather," he remarked.
