Actor Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, already has an idea of who could play the superhero after him as the fourth film approaches, UNN reports, citing Deadline.

In a new interview, Holland said that an actor from the series "Adolescence" would be a good successor in the role of Peter Parker.
"Owen Cooper would be amazing," Holland told Esquire UK. "Obviously, he's incredibly talented and he's the talk of the town right now."
Cooper gained recognition after starring in the Netflix miniseries "Adolescence," which earned him BAFTA TV Awards, Golden Globe, and Primetime Emmy honors.
Holland also noted in the interview that he would like to be involved in the character's development after he finishes filming, but says it is "quite difficult to get producing credits on future movies."
"Just as Robert Downey was a mentor to me in my first three films, I would love to be that person for whoever is next," he added.
This is not the first time Holland has mentioned Robert Downey Jr. as a mentor in an interview.
"For whoever is next, whether it's Miles Morales or Spider-Gwen or Spider-Woman or whatever, I would love to be a part of creating that next chapter," Holland recently told Empire magazine. "Whatever that looks like, I don't know. But if I could do what Downey did for me, then I would be so happy riding off into the sunset."
The Spider-Man played by Holland first appeared in the 2016 film "Captain America: Civil War," officially becoming part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The release of the new film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is scheduled for July 31, 2026. The film stars Holland, reprising his role as Peter Parker, and Zendaya as MJ. It has also been confirmed that Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink, and Liza Colón-Zayas will star in the film.
