Brovary has officially become part of the global initiative of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact (MUFPP). Launched in 2015, this international document brings together more than 230 cities from around the world that have committed to creating sustainable, inclusive, safe, and diverse food systems. Joining the MUFPP gives Brovary a unique opportunity to implement best practices in food policy aimed at improving the quality of life of its residents. This is a great opportunity for Brovary not only to learn from the successful experience of other cities, but also to implement innovative approaches to food policy that will meet the challenges of today. Participation in the MUFPP will help us better respond to climate change, reduce food waste, strengthen local food systems, and provide residents with quality and affordable food
One of the important areas of work envisaged by the pact is improving nutrition in educational institutions. "Our community is already actively working to create conditions for healthy eating in schools and kindergartens. Joining the MUFPP will give us new opportunities to improve the quality of children's nutrition, in particular through the introduction of modern standards and the exchange of experience with other cities," the mayor emphasized.
One of the key aspects of participating in the pact will be cooperation with international partners who can help attract grants for the implementation of environmental and social projects in the community.

Ihor Sapozhko also emphasized the importance of this step for the formation of a healthy lifestyle for residents. "Creating a sustainable food policy is about caring for the future of our community. We want every resident of Brovary to have access to healthy products, and we want food systems to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Participation in the pact will help us achieve this goal," he said.
