On Friday, April 19, the head of the SAPO, Oleksandr Klymenko, and the director of the NABU, Semen Kryvonos, met with the ambassadors of the G7 and the EU to Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, UNN reports.
Details
The main purpose of the meeting was to inform international partners about the ongoing efforts of Ukraine's anti-corruption agencies, particularly in light of the SAPO's expanded operational independence, and to discuss the challenges faced by the anti-corruption agencies.
The parties emphasized the importance of a joint approach to ensuring transparency and accountability in public administration. In this context, the prospect of Ukraine's accession to the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention, which is an effective international mechanism, remains important.
The ambassadors praised the efforts of the Ukrainian side and reaffirmed their strong support for Ukraine's anti-corruption agenda.
We believe that this is a key element in intensifying the process of European integration, as well as a guarantee of the state's stability in the face of ongoing Russian aggression. We are grateful to our international partners for their consistent support.
