The head of the Ministry of Energy emphasized that this year alone, Russia has carried out 12 massive attacks on the Ukrainian energy sector, which resulted in the destruction of 10 GW of generating capacity.
The Minister emphasized the threats to nuclear and radiation safety due to Russian attacks on substations critical to the operation of Ukrainian NPPs, as well as enemy drones flying over nuclear facilities. Special attention was paid to the protection of energy facilities, in particular by strengthening the Ukrainian air defense system
Jennifer Granholm assured that the United States will continue to help Ukraine in countering Russian aggression, supporting, in particular, the Ukrainian energy sector.
