G7 ministers condemned Russia's nuclear rhetoric and its strategy of intimidation. Putin approved the updated principles of the Russian nuclear strategy, expanding the conditions for the use of nuclear weapons.

The foreign ministers of the "Group of Seven" condemned Russia's nuclear rhetoric and its strategy of intimidation, saying that they will not "tolerate" such. This is stated in the final communiqué of the meeting of foreign ministers of the Group of Seven countries, which took place in Italy on November 26, writes UNN with reference to Sky TG24.

We strongly condemn Russia's irresponsible and threatening nuclear rhetoric and its position of strategic intimidation. We will never tolerate threats of the use of nuclear weapons, let alone any use of nuclear weapons by Russia in the context of its aggressive war against Ukraine. We also express our deep concern about Russia's use of chemical weapons and means of suppressing unrest as a method of waging war in Ukraine

- it is said in the final communique of the meeting.

Addition

Vladimir Putin's approval of the updated principles of Russia's nuclear strategy has sparked a lively discussion among experts and politicians around the world. The document refers to expanding the conditions under which Russia can use nuclear weapons. This applies to both a nuclear and non-nuclear attack if it threatens the sovereignty or territorial integrity of Russia or its allies. In addition, the aggression of any member state of the military coalition against Russia will be regarded as an attack by the entire coalition.

the update of the doctrine came amid reports that the United States allowed Ukraine to use long-range weapons to strike Russian territory. Moscow has repeatedly responded to this with harsh statements, emphasizing that such actions can be regarded as direct participation of NATO countries in the conflict in Ukraine.
