Ihor Mityukov, a Ukrainian political and statesman, has passed away at the age of 74. He served as Minister of Finance of Ukraine in four consecutive governments, UNN reports with reference to the Ministry of Finance.

As reported by the agency, Ihor Mityukov dedicated most of his life to serving Ukraine. After successful work in the financial sector, he was appointed Deputy Head of the National Bank, served as Deputy Prime Minister for Financial and Banking Activities, and Minister of Finance of Ukraine in four consecutive governments. He held diplomatic service as Special Representative of the Government of Ukraine to the EU, was Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain, and represented the state in the International Maritime Organization.
He was actively involved in analytical research, founded and headed the Institute of Financial Policy. He was a member of the supervisory boards of several large state institutions, banks, and companies. For his activities, he was awarded a number of state awards of Ukraine.
Mityukov became one of the architects of our country's financial system, dedicating years to its development and stabilization during a difficult period of formation.
Ihor Oleksandrovych's professionalism, strategic vision, and state responsibility have become an example for many generations of financiers. The approaches he laid down are still relevant and ensure the country's stability in the face of armed Russian aggression. We express our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
