The European Commission has unblocked €10 billion for Hungary for energy and transport. Prime Minister Péter Magyar negotiated the funds before the late August deadline.

The European Union has unlocked 10 billion euros in frozen funds for Hungary. This is reported by UNN with reference to The Guardian.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that both sides "agreed on very specific projects that will support key sectors, such as, for example, energy, housing, as well as transport and small and medium-sized enterprises, to name just a few."
