The traffic accident occurred today around 11:00 AM near the Gryshko Botanical Garden.
Preliminary findings indicate that the 48-year-old driver of the passenger car, while speeding, collided with three parked vehicles. As a result of the impact, the 49-year-old driver of a KIA, who was inside his vehicle, sustained bodily injuries of varying severity and was hospitalized.
After causing the accident, the perpetrator attempted to avoid interacting with law enforcement by locking himself in his car. Investigators detained the man. He exhibited signs of alcohol intoxication but refused to undergo testing.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding this incident. The sanction of the article provides for up to 10 years of imprisonment.
