Perpetrators are distributing phishing links disguised as signature collection for petitions to the President. To authorize, they require a phone number and an access code.

The Center for Countering Disinformation has detected the spread of a new phishing campaign aimed at stealing Telegram user accounts. Attackers are exploiting the theme of honoring fallen defenders of Ukraine and disguising fraudulent links as supposedly official petitions, UNN reports, citing the CCD.

The Center reported that scammers are distributing forwarded posts in chats and private messages from a private channel named "Electronic Petitions," urging users to support a specific petition.

However, the link does not lead to the official resource for submitting and signing petitions to the President of Ukraine, but to a fake page that visually mimics the Telegram interface.

To supposedly sign the petition, the user is asked to undergo authorization, providing their phone number and a confirmation code. After entering this data, the attackers gain access to the victim's account,

- the Center for Countering Disinformation reported.

The CCD emphasized that the official collection of signatures for petitions to the President of Ukraine is carried out exclusively through the state portal petition.president.gov.ua.

No Telegram channels or third-party websites are related to the official petition platform and cannot be used for voting,

- the Center stressed.

Experts also warn that if such a message is received from an acquaintance, it may indicate that their account has already been hacked and is being used to spread fraudulent links.

The Center urged citizens not to follow suspicious links, not to enter confirmation codes on third-party resources, and to verify the authenticity of websites before entering personal data.
