The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov said whether he participates in special operations carried out by his department. As he said during a telethon, he is involved in the planning of such operations, UNN reports.
"I try not to interfere in the direct work of the executors of certain operations. But yes, I always take part in the overall planning," Budanov said.

Earlier, the commander of the Artan special unit's MANPADS group, Oleksandr, call sign Lyuty, said that Budanov was directly involved in some of the GUR's special operations. He even gave an example that during one of these operations, conducted with Budanov's participation, the head of the GUR forced 19 Russian soldiers to surrender through negotiations alone.
