A British official explained that the destroyer had recently arrived in the region to strengthen international efforts to maintain maritime security.
"The latest spate of illegal attacks poses a direct threat to international trade and the safety of navigation in the Red Sea. The UK remains committed to protecting global trade," the British Defense Secretary emphasized.

Earlier UNN reported that the Yemeni Houthi group attacked two cargo ships in the Red Sea: one of them was hit by a drone and the other by a ballistic missile. A US official confirmed that the Liberian-flagged vessel was hit, causing a fire.
