The initiative involves integrating data from the Brazilian tax service with information from the US Customs and Border Protection to strengthen control over international flows. The authorities plan to combine intelligence capabilities to intercept illegal shipments.

According to Revenue Minister Robinson Barreirinhas, over the past year, more than 1,100 weapons originating from the United States have been seized. In the first quarter of this year alone, over 1.5 tons of drugs were confiscated.
